Project Details

This eco shed was built in 2007 not as a home, but just as it is called, an eco friendly shed in Bowen Island, British Columbia. With everything you need in a building smaller than 300 square feet, the shed has a bedroom, a small kitchen, a bathroom and even a working area. The shed was built using a Passive Solar house design with many other additions to make the shed as energy efficient as possible. Part of the shed’s design includes the use of energy efficient fiberglass windows. For this project, Fibertec’s high performance 300 Series fiberglass windows were used. Triple glazed fiberglass fixed and fiberglass casement windows were used in combination all around the house. Large fiberglass fixed windows were used on an entire wall of the shed to allow for more natural light to enter the shed.
