Fiberglass French Doors

Fibertec’s fiberglass french doors are swing doors suitable both as an entry door, or a patio door. Fiberglass french doors have the advantage of being able to apply many different custom designs within the glass, grilles, colour, finish and side lites. With the endless aesthetic options that you can think of for customization and the quality of fibertec’s fiberglass frames, you get the result of beauty and energy efficiency in one product. Whether you are looking for an energy efficient fiberglass patio door, or an accented fiberglass entry door, the 200 Series Fiberglass French door offers an authentic wood finish as an option as well. This fiberglass door comes with both options of either an in swing fiberglass door or an out swing fiberglass door with easy operation and maximum safety.

Uses built in flush glazing bead, and can accept any standard size door lite glass. This optional slab style eliminates the traditional bulky door lite glass frame.

6 1/2″ Pultruded fiberglass Frame filled with wood reinforcement, injection moulded reinforced mechanical welded corners with Polyurethane foam fill and sealed with silicone sealant. An optional 4 1/2″ Pultruded Fiberglass Frame is available for single doors only. Door slabs are reinforced Fiberglass skin, available in woodgrain (beige) flush or embossed pattern. Door slab stile rails use weather resistant composite material.

Nominal slab sizes are 30″ (certain styles only), 32″, 34″, and 36″ wide by 80″ height and 96″ height. Fibertec manufactures to sizes specified + / – 1/8″ (3.17 mm) industry tolerance.

Products have been independently tested and rated by AAMA, and NFRC (see energy ratings).

The inswing door system that has a thermally broken aluminum sill that is strategically placed for the drainage of water. The outswing door system uses a combination of aluminum and oak sill with q-lon weather stripping to ensure a positive seal to the slab.

Multi-Lock System for Entrance DoorsFibertec uses a multi-point licking mechanism for all of our fiberglass entry doors. The locking system allows for the latchbolts to throw 20 mm and are secured to prevent them from being forced back. The deadbolts are engaged by turning the key/knob, the top and bottom latchbolts act as well and as a result it becomes a 3 deadbolts locking system.

Advatntages of Multi-point Locking

  1. No lifting of handle is needed to engage locking points
  2. Provides great amount of security against forced entry
  3. Prevents air infiltration from gasket
  4. Protects door panel from warping

Optional Multipoint lock system by Ferco, is available in polished brass, antique brass, polished chrome, brushed chrome, and oil rub. This provides added security compared to traditional lock systems. It is highly recommended to use the Multipoint lock system on all 8′ height doors. Fibertec uses a Pultruded Fiberglass Frame with a standard White finish using Sequoia TM series V advanced acrylic polyurethane (water borne) baked onto the finish. The finish is rated environmentally friendly due to its low VOC (Volatile organic compound). Fiberglass door slabs come standard unfinished, but is ready to prime and paint or stain (wood grain). Custom colours are available.

Occasional cleaning of glass and frame components with a non-abrasive detergent is recommended.

Shall be performed by experienced installers in accordance with manufacturer instructions and CSA A440.4 standards. Window shall be plumb and square after installation is complete and sealed to both interior and exterior wall with high quality sealant around the perimeter of the frame. If perimeter cavity is to be foamed, additional anchorage may be required to prevent bowing. It shall be the responsibility of the installers to make all necessary final adjustments to ensure normal and smooth operation.
