What is the Home Renovation Savings Program?
The Home Renovation Savings Program is Ontario’s current energy-efficiency rebate program for homeowners. It is delivered by Save on Energy and Enbridge Gas, with support from the Ontario government, to help people reduce energy use and improve home comfort through rebates on eligible upgrades.
Eligible Rebates for High Performance Windows
Ontario homeowners may be eligible to receive $100 back per rough opening when replacing qualifying windows and doors through the Home Renovation Savings Program. To qualify, windows must be EnergyStar certified and completed as part of the program’s eligible upgrade requirements.

How it Works
- Book a Home Energy Assessment
To qualify for window and door rebates, homeowners must start with a home energy assessment before beginning eligible upgrade work. - Choose Two or More Eligible Upgrades
Windows and doors are part of the program’s “Bundle and Save” pathway. Homeowners must complete two or more eligible upgrades, such as windows and doors, insulation, air sealing, or a heat pump water heater. - Install ENERGY STAR Certified Windows and Doors
Eligible windows and doors must be ENERGY STAR certified. Qualifying upgrades may receive $100 back per rough opening. - Complete the Program Requirements
Once the required upgrades and program steps are complete, homeowners can submit for applicable rebates through the Home Renovation Savings Program. - Confirm Eligibility Before Starting
