In-House Sealed Unit Manufacturing

With over 20 years of experience, we have learned that every customer can have different glass requirements depending on their priorities. At Fibertec, we manufacture our own IGMAC certified glass sealed units, enabling us to control and maintain the highest quality both in materials and workmanship

With such a wide range of requirements, we feel that it is imperative to offer a wide range of glass options in order to meet each of our customers unique requirements.

We believe our Triple Glazed Windows offer the best energy efficiency along with durability, sound proofing and good value pricing.

Triple Glazed Windows

Glass and glazing are important factors to consider to best achieve the highest performance in:

  1. Energy efficiency both for keeping heat in and cold out and visa versa
  2. Noise reduction with high STC ( Sound Transmission Coefficient)
  3. Hurricane proof glazing
  4. Tempering for safety
  5. Decorative requirements
  6. Ecological friendly construction such as Passivhaus construction, meeting LEED requirements, ICF building, Net Zero Energy building, etc.
  7. Reducing energy costs

Glazing Options

Triple Glazing aka Triple Glazed Windows:
Triple Pane windows which are also referred to as Triple Glazed Windows consist of three layers of glass separated by two spacers (super spacer) in between them around the perimeter. The ideal space between each pane of glass should be three quarters of an inch in order to achieve optimum insulating value. Two layers with a soft/hard coat low-emissivity (Low-E) film can be added on the non exposed surfaces of the glass(one per chamber). The air between the panes of glass can be replaced with argon or krypton gas, which will further increase the insulating value. The additional layer and air space give triple glazing better insulation value than that provided by double glazing. It is a good choice where there are weather extremes. Triple pane windows also offer a superior noise reduction to that of a standard double glazed window which can help reduce sound transmission where outside noise is a problem. Fibertec has the best quality and value triple glazed windows that the fiberglass window and door industry can offer.

When considering triple glazed windows, there are several fundamental key features that must not be overlooked:

a)Strength of Frame Material (To carry heavy glass load weight)
b)Size of air space between glass panes (For optimum insulating value)
c) Type of spacer used (For minimal conductivity)
d) The main sealant on the sealed unit perimiter (To prevent seal failure and prolong argon retention)

Double Glazing:

Triple Pane GlassDouble Glazed windows have two layers of glass separated with a spacer. It is the minimum standard allowed by the National Building Code of Canada. Air trapped between the glass layers provides some insulating value.

LoE+:

Whether you`re building a new home or replacing windows on your existing home, windows unit with LoE+ insulating glass can save you money and make you more comfortable all year around. In addition, many utilities are offering rebates for energy efficient window products. Windows featuring LoE+ glass offered by leading window manufacturers. Demand the best windows under the sun, with LoE+ glass products from Fibertec.

Gas Filling

Argon Gas Fill:

Argon is a colourless, odourless, non-flammable, non-reactive, inert gas. Argon gas fills are used to reduce heat loss in sealed units by slowing down convection inside the air space. Argon gas is extremely cost-efficient, and works well with Low-e & LoE Performance + coated glazing.

Spacer Type

Triple Glazed Windows

The Super Spacer:

The Super Spacer™ spacer bar is the complete solution to warm edge technology. Utilizing both our roll forming and extrusion expertise, this spacer improves thermal performance while maintaining the structural integrity and gas/moisture retention properties required of a spacer bar.
The Super Spacer™ is produced in regular, bendable, rectangular, Heat Mirror, and low profile designs. White, black, and gray colors are standard. Various sizes of warm edge spacer are available depending on the profile design.
Increased edge temperature reduces perimeter condensation and heat loss compared with conventional aluminum spacer. Thermal Edge™ enhances performance of LoE” coatings and argon gas filled units.
